No major or minor update happened on 20th, but Google did do a lot of testing then, some connected to the mentioned Over Optimization. Might be the tags you mentioned, or heavy inner linking going to the same pages with no relevance from the post I would get rid of the plugin and link manually, after all, do we really need an automatic plugin to inner link our own pages?
